  The KA-MR100G is an SxS solid state recorder designed to work exclusively with JVC’s ProHD.

  
  

  The MR100G allows you to record HD video in the popular XDCAM EX format using your 200 series ProHD camcorder or the new GY-HM700 ProHD cam.

  
  

  This compact recorder attaches to the GY-HD200UB and GY-HD250U recorders via the KA-UM100 adapter or directly to the new GY-HM700 ProHD camcorder allowing you to record HD material in the 720P or 1080i (GY-HD200UB only) mode onto convenient SxS memory cards.

  
  

  Simultaneous recording to tape and solid state memory is also possible allowing you to make instantaneous backup or archival recordings.

  
  

  The compact KA-MR100G provides status information on its built-in LCD screen as well as on the camcorder's viewfinder. Controls and menus are well integrated with the attached camcorder. You can even play back recorded video directly on the camera's LCD monitor or view finder

SxS memory card recording media

As recording media, an SxS memory card can transfer a large amount of high definition video data recorded by the KA-MR100G to a Non-linear editing system.

Utilises XDCAM EX file format

The KA-MR100G records in the XDCAM EX file format. The recorded files are compatible with Sony XDCAM EX series products and also non-linear editing systems that support XDCAM EX.

Docks with JVC GY-HD200/250 HDV camcorder series

The KA-MR100G docks with JVC GY-HD200/250 series ProHD camcorders using the separately sold KA-UM100G adapter, without an external IEEE 1394 or other cable. In this configuration the camcorder can record high definition (HD) video with audio onto both videotape and SxS memory card simultaneously.
